A downloadable module

Decades ago, there were two adventuring bros—Thom the Mighty and Oolnor the Weird. After much questing and looting and war against the hated bone men of the North, they carved for themselves a dungeon fortress one day’s march from the nearest village. Here, in this righteous bro cave (RBC), they stationed their henchmen, stashed their gold, and hosted epic parties.

But there has been no trace of Thom or Oolnor for ten years now. A brave few have trespassed into their RBC, lusting for the riches that no doubt reside there. None have returned, for no force could be mightier than Thom and Oolnor’s eternal, bloodthirsty friendship.

A righteous remix of the first "basic" module. This is a free dungeon adventure for 2-6 characters at levels 1-2, compatible with OSR systems generally (and Rovers & Riches 2e, specifically).

B1 has always seemed so cool to me. But reading it and running it seems daunting. So, I set out to make a new dungeon inspired by it, incorporating only the "fun" ideas that stuck with me after an initial reading. This is the result.

  • 10 pages, 32 keyed areas
  • Weird pools and potions
  • Creepy wizard inventions
  • Factions
  • Traps
  • Rumors
  • Encounters
  • GOOOOOLLLLLDDD

I'm gonna be running this using my system, Miasma and Monsters, this coming Friday at my local game store!

Sweet! How did it go? And I've read your module and have my notes for it. Sorry for the delay in posting, I've got a new born baby!

Congratulations to you and your family!!! No need to apologize, that's a big life change.

It ran well! The party immediately went to the western caves and barely survived fighting all the mushroom men and scaring off the spider. They then went to the pools and lost two characters to the black liquid and the purple berserk pool.

They then went to the main hall where Thom and Oolnor showed up. They ended up trying to originally ask for the correct way to get to the locked door to the north, but through a misunderstanding it lead to the wizard losing his head, Thom going into a rage and nearly killing 3 PCs before being tied up and fed to the acid pit 😂

The party then decided to just leave with all the loot. Such heroism!

Thank you!

And I'm glad it ran well! I'm pleasantly surprised to hear how much trouble your players got up to, I was afraid it was too sparse.

I will admit a few static encounters would be a good addition but it was still fun!
